Guidance on GM Food / Feed Imports
The major GM crops that are currently cultivated worldwide — soybeans, maize, cotton, and rapeseed — are also those crops that are the most heavily traded internationally. Most African countries will therefore need to take regulatory decisions regarding the importation of GM commodities for food, feed or for processing, either as commercial trade or as food aid. This section of the website includes guidance documents for such decision making.
